Yoga Teachers In Namaskar or Namaste ALYSSA: Alyssa is the manager of Coldbrooke Yoga Studios. Alyssa entered the Open Doors 200 hour Power Yoga Teacher training program in the fall of 2006. Since then she has taught at several Boston area studios, gyms and offered private sessions as well. Beyond power yoga, Alyssa can offer gentle, hatha, restorative and prenatal classes.

Motivated by a herniated disk in her L4 L5 lumbar area in 2004 - Alyssa took up yoga to stay fit while healing. After one class with Shawn Cornelison of Open Doors she was totally hooked. Never before had movement, breath and stillness come togther in such a way. She left feeling physically AND mentally stronger. When you come to her class you can expect a playful mix of sun salutations, twists, balance and floor work... MAN it is hard to type about yourself in the third person for extended periods of time! Ha ha! So yes, come to my class and learn how to challenge yourself, laugh at yourself, love the body you have today and work patiently toward open and strengthen yourself inside and out!

ALI: I started practicing yoga out of desperation at a time when I was really down. After my very first class, I felt like I could take a deep breath for the first time in awhile-- and it gave me hope. I love that the practice of yoga can offer so many things but demands nothing-- it can be all at once meditative, calming, healing and a great workout! I was certified through the Prana Power Yoga teacher training program and enjoy teaching a challenging Vinyasa flow

Linda Storm: Linda became interested in yoga about 10 years ago while working in Corporate America. She had always exercised to help relieve the stress and tension from her job, but as time went on her normal routine was not working. She constantly suffered from neck, shoulder, and lower back pain and often felt fatigued and depressed. Though massage therapy worked temporarily for her ailments, it did not help her chronic conditions. After taking her first yoga class Linda noticed an immediate difference in how she felt both mentally and physically. As her practice continued her syptoms of stress slowly began to fade. It was her yoga practice that motivated Linda to return to school where she received her M.Ed. in Health Promotion with a concentration in Exercise Science. When her current job situation changed, she decided to pursue her dream of becoming a yoga teacher and completed her 200 hour teacher training at Findng Inner Peace, in 2007. Linda has taken classes with teachers Seane Corn and Richard Freeman. She plans on continuing her yoga education through the Kripalu Center in Lenox, MA Linda looks forward to helping you bring balance into your life through yoga and meditation.
